Catch up

I am finally getting around to uploading all these cute photos of our last summer play day before it started to get too cold for short sleeves. I miss you summer! Come back!

Whew!

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

It’s been a while since I posted. Here are some highlights of our recent activities:

The weekend before last Aunt Lorien & Uncle Jake came to visit and they took us to the Pirate Festival. Scarlet STILL can’t stop talking about Pirates. She got pirate money and saw sword fights (which she practices with her eating utensils) and saw a pirate band and went on a pirate slide and a pirate even made her a balloon shaped like a flower! It was a blast:) Unfortunately, mom didn’t bring the camera:( Thanks again Jake and Lorien!

Right after Jake and Lorien, Papa Les came for a visit. Of course he spoiled us rotten and played with Scarlet non-stop. Here are some pics from his visit:

She had a BLAST!

And alas, this last weekend we went to Fir Creek Farms and got to see Chickens, bunnies, a cow, goats and Pumpkins.  There was a corn shooting cannon, a big slide, tattoos and a “nut house” (a whole cabin filled with hazelnuts that you could play in!)  Scarlet fell asleep on the way home–which doesn’t happen very often these days!  A sure sign she enjoyed herself.

Ballet in the Park Blocks

Friday, September 5th, 2008

I thought for SURE Scarlet would LOVE watching the Ballerinas practice in the park blocks downtown, but it turns out that she was way more interested in running around, picking up acorns, checking out the other kids and most importantly–climbing on the sculptures.

She cried when we had to say good-bye to the coyote sculpture near the Portland Art Mueseum. Sorry, honey–we can’t take him home–we already have an “Ula”.
