Window Treatment

I needed to obscure the view through a window in my house (cause I live in the hood and I don’t want anybody to steal my stuff!) So I made 4X4″ window “tiles” out of Crayola window decal paint that I purchased at Fred Meyer.

I decided on 4X4 so that when I butted them up against eachother they would fill my particular window, and also because the plastic sheet (provided with the paint) you use to squeeze the paint onto is just a little bit bigger than that. Here’s a pic of a few of them:

Window Decals

To make your own:

-buy some decal paint (crayola is easy to find but there are also different brands at art supply stores)

- Draw your image on a sheet of paper (make it simple and consider the size of the plastic sheet provided)

-place the plastic sheet over your drawing for a guide and paint away.

Let them dry for twenty four hours before peeling them off the plastic sheet (like a fruit roll up!) , put it on your window, and repeat until you’ve filled it up (I’m still working on that part).

Have fun!
