I was going to fix my links over the weekend and load some new pics but alas, I went out and saw the Aviator, relaxed, had some friends over for dinner, got my hair cut (short! lots of jaws dropping today), did laundry and other such frivilous things. So all you get is a boring old general message about my every day life.
I met with some new Artist friends over the weekend and we are in the process of organizing an Artist Trading Card exchange that will happen on every third wednesday of the month. The first one will be on March 16th–probably at 7pm–and I will post more details when we figure out where it will happen. If you don’t know anything about Artist Trading Cards, they are hand made cards the same size as a sports trading card (or garbage pail kids if you are old enough to remember those) that you trade with other artists (no money exchanges hand). They can be made out of whatever you want-painted, stitched, welded, sawed (er, sawn?), drawn, printed, stamped–you name it–you just make it the right size and it works. On the back of the card you put your contact information and sign the card. Show up at a meeting and trade away–A great way to meet other artists, network and take little pieces of art home with you:) I’ll be putting up more info and some examples on my website soon:)
Hope your Monday isn’t too crappy!
