Phew it’s been a while since I’ve posted on my blog! I’ve been on facebook a little but other than that I have been ignoring the internet lately.
Working in the studio so I should have some pics to post soon!

If you are all for cutting costs and a good DIY project than this is for you;)
First save up some empties! (ie: milk jugs, detergent bottles…anything with a lid!)
Then pick up some Washing soda, Borax and a bar of Felsnaptha soap, all available in fred meyer, target, etc.) And Last: Make sure you have a pot big enough to hold four gallons!
Now that you are ready here is the recipe!
Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent
• 4 cups of water.
• 1/3 bar of Felsnaptha soap grated or chopped up into small bits
• 1/2 cup washing soda (not baking soda).
• 1/2 cup of Borax (20 Mule Team).
• 4-5 gallon bucket or pot
• 3 gallons of water.
First, mix the grated soap in a saucepan with 4 cups of water, and heat on low until the soap is completely dissolved. Add hot water/soap mixture to 3 gallons of water in the 5-gallon bucket, stir in the washing soda and Borax, and continue stirring until thickened. Pour into your recycled containers and let sit 24 hours before use.
I have been using this soap for a while now and it works great. If you like your soap to have a fragrance to it I’m sure you could add something, but for me not having an unnatural smell to my laundry is part of the point of making my own!
This soap may not be suitable for people with sensitive skin.
Enjoy:)

Time to re-paint! Last time I went a little too dark…I’m leaning towards the one on the bottom left.

This picture is too cute I couldn’t resist posting it:)
